Huawei keeps chasing battery-capacity records, and the Huawei Nova 15 Max is the clearest proof yet. Its 8500 mAh cell, squeezed into a mid-range body, is the largest battery in the company's history.
Display and design
The 6.84-inch FHD+ OLED panel offers a 2756 × 1272 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 4000 nits, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming should be easier on the eyes. Despite the huge battery, the body is just 7.98 mm thick, though it is no lightweight at 232 g. An aluminium frame, side-mounted fingerprint reader and an infrared blaster round out the package.
Battery and charging
The 8500 mAh cell is the phone's headline feature. Huawei promises 12–15 hours of active screen time, so a single charge should comfortably last two days. Charging is wired, at 40 W SuperCharge Turbo.
Cameras
The main 50 MP camera uses a large 1/1.56-inch sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and RYYB technology that improves low-light shots. Alongside it sits a 2 MP helper sensor, with an 8 MP camera up front for selfies.
Performance and software
The Chinese version runs on the Kirin 8000 chip – a mid-range part (AnTuTu around 625,000). It won't satisfy the most demanding gamers, but for everyday tasks it has power to spare. The phone ships with EMUI 14.2.
What to know before buying
Global versions ship without Google services out of the box – no Play Store, Gmail or Maps. Instead they come with MicroG and Gbox. For a Baltic buyer who depends on the Google ecosystem, that is the deciding factor.
Price and availability
The indicative price is around 449 €. The phone is not yet sold in Lithuanian shops, but it is worth watching the Huawei phones listing or comparing it with other smartphones.
