Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Active: Specs, Price and Release Date
Xiaomi's cheapest new watch promises up to 18 days of battery and will cost around €50. Here's what to expect and how it differs from the standard Redmi Watch 6.
Xiaomi is extending its most affordable smartwatch line with the Redmi Watch 6 Active, a model whose main selling points are long battery life and a low price. Don't confuse it with the pricier Redmi Watch 6: the Active version is cheaper but drops a few features.
Display and design
The watch has a 1.85-inch AMOLED screen (390 × 450 pixels) with peak brightness up to 1,200 nits, so readings stay visible even in sunlight. The case is square, thin (10 mm) and very light at just 26 grams. Colours are black, silver and rose gold.
Battery — the main draw
The 470 mAh battery lasts up to 18 days in battery-saver mode and around 12 days with typical use, according to Xiaomi. In practice that means charging the watch roughly once every two weeks.
Health and sport
The Redmi Watch 6 Active measures heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2) and tracks sleep. There are more than 140 sport modes, a pedometer and calorie tracking. Over Bluetooth 5.3 you can take phone calls straight from your wrist.
One key limitation: the Active has no built-in GPS — it gets your location through a connected phone. If you run or cycle without your phone, keep that in mind. Built-in GPS and tougher 5ATM water resistance are reserved for the standard, pricier model; the Active sticks to IP68 (dust protection and immersion up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes).
Who it's for
The Redmi Watch 6 Active suits anyone who wants notifications, long battery life and basic health tracking for the lowest possible price. Compared with its predecessor, the Redmi Watch 5 Active, the new model gains a brighter screen and Bluetooth calling. In China the watch costs 349 yuan (about $52), and in Europe a price of around €50 is expected. It was officially unveiled on 20 August 2026. An exact on-sale date for the Baltic countries has not yet been confirmed.
