Garmin Enduro 4: Everything We Know About the Battery King
Garmin hasn't confirmed the Enduro 4 yet, but app code and FCC filings already reveal what to expect from its next ultra-endurance watch.
When will the Garmin Enduro 4 launch?
There is no official announcement yet, but the name has surfaced in the Garmin Connect app code (version 5.26, June 2026) and in the US FCC registry (model A05216, ID IPH-05216). Given Garmin's two-year refresh cycle — Garmin Enduro 2 arrived in August 2022 and Enduro 3 in August 2024 — the Enduro 4 is expected in August or September 2026, likely alongside a new Fenix flagship.
Display: battery over brightness
Unlike most new watches, the Enduro line sticks with a MIP display and Power Glass solar charging rather than a vivid AMOLED. The reason is simple: MIP draws far less power and stays readable in direct sunlight. Leaks suggest the Enduro 4 will most likely keep the same MIP-plus-solar setup, with only a small chance of an AMOLED variant. For ultramarathoners that makes sense — most would trade a brighter screen for extra hours of runtime.
Battery: the series signature
The Enduro is famous for record battery life. The Enduro 3 lasts around 110 hours in GPS mode and more than 400 hours in smartwatch mode with solar. The Enduro 4 is expected to push further — roughly 110–140 hours in GPS mode and 30–40 days of everyday use. This is a watch you can wear for weeks without a charger.
Build and sensors
The Enduro 4 should stay true to the series formula: a 51 mm case in carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer, low weight (around 65 g) and a titanium bezel. From the Garmin Fenix 8 platform it may inherit a microphone, speaker and 40 m dive rating. FCC documents confirm Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi and ANT+, but no LTE or satellite Skylo bands appear — so rumours of satellite messaging remain unconfirmed for now.
Price and who it is for
The Enduro 2 cost 1,099 USD and the Enduro 3 899 USD. The Enduro 4 is expected to land at a similar price, around 899–949 EUR, though the price has not been announced yet. This is not a watch for the casual user but for ultramarathoners, trail runners and expedition athletes who value weeks of battery life and reliable navigation above all.
